These terms govern your use of the BlindPass application and the BlindPass website (blindpass.leboube.ai), made by Joe LeBoube ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using BlindPass, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use BlindPass.
License
BlindPass is free and open source, licensed under the MIT License. That license governs your rights to use, copy, modify and distribute the software. If you obtain BlindPass through the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and where it conflicts with these terms for an App Store download, Apple's EULA controls.
Your data is your responsibility
BlindPass stores your secrets in an encrypted file on your Mac, unlocked by Touch ID and backed up by a Recovery Key that you print and keep. We have no copy of your data, your key or your Recovery Key, and we cannot recover them for you. Keep your Recovery Key somewhere safe and keep your own backups. If you lose both your Mac's access and your Recovery Key, your data cannot be recovered.
Acceptable use
Use BlindPass lawfully and only for data you're authorized to handle. Don't use it to store or manage credentials you don't have the right to use.
No warranty
BlindPass is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, as stated in the MIT License. While BlindPass is designed to keep your secrets private, no software can guarantee absolute security.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the author be liable for any claim, damages or other liability — including lost data, lost profits, or any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages — arising from or in connection with BlindPass or its use.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version will always be posted on this page with its date. Continued use of BlindPass after a change means you accept the updated terms.
